ATOCHA FLEET 1622 EMERALD .80ct Mel Fisher COA PIRATE TREASURE SHIPWRECK COIN ATOCHA FLEET 1622 CERTIFIED EMERALD .80ct w/ Mel Fisher COA Tag & Appraisal $12,000! ATOCHA 1622 “Class 1B” CERTIFIED EMERALD AT “ALMOST 1 CARAT (of nearly highest Class)!” w/ MEL FISHER COA & APPRAISAL FLEET TREASURE. APPRAISED (March 2017) AT $12,000 BY MEL FISHER’S CO!!!! This Nugget like crystal has a beautiful almost luminescence radiating from it. It comes with a COA (dated Dec 31, 1986) from Mel Fisher’s “TREASURE SALVORS, INC.,” which is highly coveted! From the ATOCHA and recovered in 1986 by the Fisher’s this piece is a very nice size and almost 1 full (Class 1) carat. It comes with the Mel Fisher tag#3194 TSI #E245. This piece could of been part of the Royal Jewels or Church’s gemstones. To have a piece of History from 1622 (400 years old) and from one of the (if not THE) most Famous Treasure Galleons of all time is a RARE Opportunity!!! These Emeralds were so coveted, that the Spanish Government actually took control of the “Muzo Mines” from the Muzo Tribe, which were first discovered by the Spaniards in Colombia in 1536. Located at over 6,000 feet the mine is located northwest of Bogota. Once mined the tourturist trip down the Andes to the port of Cartagena had to either be made by horseback or down the Magdalena River. Truly a gemstone part of a 400 yr. History!
